Thank you for your interest in participating in research that determines the winners of the Standard Bank People’s Wheels Awards. To take part in the Ownership Survey and/or the People’s Wheels Poll, you are required to register separately for each by supplying the Future Group, a division of the Times Media Group, with your name and your contact telephone number or e-mail address. Your details will not be shared with any third party.

To qualify for the R25 000 lucky draw prize your completed survey forms or votes must be received by the Future Group on or before 17:00 on Friday, August 28, 2015. The winner of the R25 000 prize will be determined in a random draw conducted by an independent adjudicator, encompassing all respondents to each of the surveys, but excluding staff and their immediate families of the Future Group, Times Media Group, Standard Bank, C-track and any other sponsors affiliated to the People’s Wheels Awards. The respondent whose name is drawn first will be declared the winner. 

You may submit as many Ownership Surveys as you own cars. You may also participate in the People’s Wheels poll. The Ownership Survey ranks satisfaction levels of vehicles based on ownership experience. The People’s Wheels poll determines by popular vote favourite vehicles in 22 categories plus an overall winner – the car that receives the most votes overall. The People’s Wheels poll can be accessed only via the Internet throughwww.peopleswheels.co.za, whereas the Ownership Survey may be made available in printed form and distributed through to selected newspapers, magazines and via motor dealerships.

Also, he or she will receive an invitation to attend, with a partner, the launch in Johannesburg on November 13, 2015, of theAUTO ANNUAL 2016,an event which will include the first public announcement of the winners of the People’s Wheels Awards and the results of the Ownership Survey.   4. Disclaimer
    1. Apart from the provisions of sections 43(5) and 43(6) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, neither Future Group nor any of its agents or representatives shall be liable for any damage, loss or liability of whatsoever nature arising from the use or inability to use this website or the services or content provided from and through this website.
    2. Furthermore, Future Group makes no representations or warranties, implied or otherwise, that, amongst others, the content and technology available from this website are free from errors or omissions. Users are encouraged to report any possible malfunctions and errors to the person referred to in clause 1.
  5. Governing Law
    1.  This site is controlled and operated from the Republic of South Africa and therefore governed by South African law.
  6. Security
    1. Any person that delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to this website or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page on this website shall be prosecuted and civil damages shall be claimed in the event that Future Group suffers any damage or loss.
    2. The user agrees and warrants that its log-in name and password shall:
      1. be used for personal use only; and
      2. not be disclosed to any third party.
    3. The user allows Future Group to take all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of the Auto Annual website and back-office applications.
  7. Changes To Agreement
    1. Future Group may, at its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
  8. Disputes
    1. In the event of any dispute of any nature whatsoever arising between the parties on any matter provided for in, or arising out of this agreement, and not resolved through the Customer Relations Department of Future Group, then such a dispute shall be submitted to confidential arbitration in terms of the expedited rules of the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa.   9. Domicilium
    1. Future Group chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature: 4 BIERMANN AVENUE, ROSEBANK, 2196, JOHANNESBURG.
  10. Privacy
    1. Future Group shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of Users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).     2. Future Group may electronically collect, store and use the following personal information of Users:
      1. name and surname;
      2. gender;
      3. country of residence;
      4. closest city;
      5. e-mail address; and
      6. IP address
    3. Future Group collects, stores and uses the abovementioned information for the following purposes:
      1. to compile non-personal survey information about peoples’ preferences and satisfaction of their vehicles.
      2. subject to the User's consent, inform the User about competitions and special offers from Future Group and/or its partners/affiliates;
      3. to compile non-personal statistical information about browsing habits, click-patterns and access to the Future Group website.
    4. Information detailed above is collected either electronically by using cookies or is provided voluntarily by the User. Users may determine cookie use independently through their browser settings.
    5. Future Group may collect, maintain, save, compile, share, disclose and sell any information collected from users, subject to the following provisions:
      1. Future Group shall not disclose personal information from Users unless the User consents thereto;
      2. Future Group shall disclose information without the User's consent only through due legal process; and
      3. Future Group may compile, use and share any information that does not relate to any specific individual.
    6. Future Group owns and retains all rights to non-personal statistical information collected and compiled by Future Group.
  11. Regarding Databases
    1. All database information is and remains the property of  Future Group
